On September 16, 2020, the anarchist library Kalabalik and several apartments in Berlin and Athens were searched. On February 7, 2019, the Federal Prosecutor General at the Federal Supreme Court initiated proceedings under §129a - the formation of a terrorist organization - against three accused persons, with 7 persons already being the focus of the investigation from the beginning.
Thus, as of June 1, 2019, the other persons were also entered into the proceedings as defendants and the charge was downgraded from §129a to §129 para. 1 - i.e. the formation of a criminal organization.
The processing of the procedure shows thereby impressively the co-operation of most diverse authorities - of the countries, the federation, the authorities for the protection of the constitution, as well as internationally.
The focus of the investigation is the G20 summit in Hamburg and in particular the riots on the Elbchaussee, which the defendants are alleged to have organized.
Since the searches, the authorities' investigations continue.
