Drooker
Drooker grew up in New York's Lower East Side. At that time, mainly immigrants from the working class lived in the district, and there was a left-wing, politically active atmosphere. Drooker's grandparents were Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe who influenced him with anarchist ideas. Drooker had an early interest in drawing and cartoons, particularly the woodcut literature of Frans Masereel and Lynd Ward, and the underground comics of Robert Crumb.
