Bibliothek des Widerstands
In 2010, Laika Verlag was founded and started the series »Library of Resistance«: books in which the history(s) of numerous social movements from the 1960s to the present is traced - in words and pictures! Because each of the volumes comes with DVDs with films on the respective topic, often extensively restored and thus made accessible again at all. Around 30 volumes have been published since then, including about Angela Davis, Mumia Abu Jamal, the history of the revolution and the coup in Chile, May '68 in Paris, the anti-nuclear movement and Attac. The »library« thus makes an important contribution to a cultural memory of left-wing history.
